Top 5 experiences/places to see - and how to dress up for them?
Lapland is a wonderful destination full of unforgettable adventures. You might have already heard about these activities and planned your trip with them, but you might not have any idea how to dress up for them. So here are some of the most famous experiences/places to see and the best dressing tips for each one!
Northern lights tours
The northern lights/aurora tours are the most popular experience people want to experience. They require a lot of standing or walking around in freezing temperatures, which means you need more insulation than usual.
The LuxJa bundle is perfect for this occasion, since it keeps you warm and comfortable even when standing still. The bundle includes a Joutsen Down Jacket, Jack Wolfskin Down Pants, Moon Boots, Hestra gloves and a beanie. For extra insulation you can also pair it with the merino wool base-layer and merino wool socks.
2. Snowshoeing or skiing
Snowshoeing or skiing are easy sport-ish activities that can make you sweat a little bit, but also allow you to stop and admire your surroundings. For these activities you should consider breathable and flexible clothes. It can also be helpful to take layers you can easily remove if needed, like a wool sweater.
The LuxJa bundle works well for this too, but you can also consider coveralls!
3. Snowmobiling
Snowmobiling is perfect for thrill-seekers - full of speed and wind! But it also means it absolutely requires windproof layers. The merino wool base-layer and wool sweater are great options.
Coveralls work the best for snowmobing, since they provide windproof and insulated protection.
4. Husky Safaris and Reindeer sleigh rides
These experiences are also very popular among travellers, since they are interactive and overall fun. The rides can get a bit windy sometimes so windproof clothing is suggested for these! There is a possibility these activities are slow-paced at times, which is why we also recommend a beanie, gloves/mittens and scarfs.
A little side note: please make sure to support ethical huskey/reindeer safaris!
5. Self-organized campfire trips
It is also possible to experience Lapland by yourself without joining a tour. You can go hiking, walk around some nature trails and end up at a lean-to. At a campfire you can grill some sausages or marshmallows and drink some hot cocoa. Levi has some great trails and maps gathered here, in case you want to check them out too!
The LuxJa Bundle is designed for comfort, style, and warmth, so it’s perfect for this kind of activity!
