Can you rent winter clothes in Levi? Yes – and here's why you should
Have you just booked a trip to Lapland, where you get to experience breathtaking views and unique adventures (in freezing weather), and you’re about to buy a whole new wardrobe just for this trip? Let's think about that for a second! Here’s why renting your winter gear is a smarter, cheaper, and more sustainable choice.
What’s in it for you?
Buying brand new clothes, especially for winter when you have to dress up in layers can become really expensive really fast. All that money spent on clothing for one trip (along with the cost of said trip) can really hurt your wallet. Renting them instead lowers your costs so you can spend that money more wisely, and it leaves more room in your luggage for other essentials, like souvenirs.
Renting your premium winter wardrobe can also save you from extra stress and hassle: a bundle made just for you, that is also being delivered to your location. All you have to do is show up as yourself! And don’t worry, renting doesn’t mean you have to risk style! We make sure you - or your clients, are dressed instagram-ready for all occasions.
What about the planet?
A trip to Lapland is obviously magical, but let’s be real: most people visit Lapland a few times over many years, which is why buying a new winter wardrobe for your Lapland trip is not sustainable at all. When you rent your winter clothes instead, you can reduce textile waste and minimize your environmental impact by extending the life cycle of these clothes.
While renting you probably also want to make sure where the clothing is being made, what materials are being used and have they been sustainably made, so you can be sure to support a sustainable company.
How have we taken sustainability into account in our clothing rental?
We rent clothes that are mostly made in Finland and the Nordics, so you can be sure to support locally made clothing. The clothing brands we have are responsible, use high-quality materials and make their clothes long-lasting. Some of these brands are: Joutsen, Jack Wolfskin and Hestra. These brands all share some of the same values, like ethical production of high-quality clothing made for Arctic weather. They are also transparent about their production, where they make their products and used materials. Some of these materials include merino wool, silk, recycled materials and responsibly sourced materials.
By making small choices like choosing to rent and choosing who to rent from, you can make a big impact on the environment. The best part is, it’s also affordable and often a cheaper option for you!
